Sometimes, our energy dwindles rapidly, but staying active through sports helps me hang in there.

Since I got "seriously" into surfing, my coach's mind can't help but draw parallels with professional life. So, I'd like to share 3 things that surfing has taught me and that you can apply to your professional life. The good news? You don't even need to get wet!

1. No need to jump on the first wave/opportunity that comes your way!

First, observe, identify what you're looking for, position yourself, and then take the wave that suits you with all your heart. That's how we succeed the best!

2. Look into the distance to maintain balance

When you look at your feet on the board, you wipe out. Setting a tangible personal or professional goal allows you to remain flexible in the face of challenges, avoid dangers, and keep a clear and motivating course.

3. Observe others to learn, not to compare

There will always be someone better than you in the water. So, instead of feeling inferior, ask yourself: what is one thing I can learn from this person and implement in myself?

Does this resonate with you? And you, what does your sport (or favourite activity) teach you?
